JAMMU, Jan 24: J&K SRTC Employees Welfare Association has constituted the body and unanimously elected Rajan Singh as president and Rajnesh Kotwal as general secretary of the organization.
The new president and general secretary were elected in the presence of R K Kalsotra, State president of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations.
On the occasion, a felicitation function was also organized in connection with the superannuation of R K Kalsotra from the bank services. The function was organized by the large number of employees of SRTC and other organizations. The main dignitaries who participated in the felicitation function included Kamraj Kaila, Ch Janak Raj, Rajinder Singh Sawhney, Sham Singh Chib, Comrade Surjit Singh, Hardeep Singh, Ajit Singh Adyal, M R Bangotra, Balkar Singh, K R Pondwal, Darshan Verma, Dilbagh Singh, Shakeel Ahmed and others.
All the speakers of the SRTC Association, J&K Eco Care Taker Organization and All J&K Pensioners Association assured to support the Confederation president R K Kalsotra to strike every corner of the Government for the welfare and the improvement of the corporation (SRTC) under his leadership.
While speaking, R K Kalsotra highlighted the importance of SRTC, which is a vast source of employment and income generation sector for the State as well as the young generation in the near future. He emphasized his idea to frame a policy by the Government as per the leading States of the country in order to develop, modernize and strengthen the SRTC to gain popularity in the Tourist State like J&K. He highlighted the broad vision of the Corporation which has an infinite economic scope to expand its services at the level of intrastate, interstate Tourism Department, Educational Institution and Government Departments.
