SRTC Union leaders meet Ramzan

JAMMU, Apr 16: A delegation of J&K SRTC Workers Union led by its chairman Shakeel Ahmed Kuchey and president Ashok Mehra met the Minister for Transport Mohd Ramzan and Secretary Transport, M A Kakroo here today and discussed their issues with them.
Mr Kuchey told the Excelsior that meeting was held under very cordial atmosphere and the Minister and secretary listened to the issues of SRTC workers patiently and assured to raise facilities for drivers, SRTC staff and passengers at TRC, Srinagar before the forth coming Shri Amarnath Yatra. They realized the concern of the Union and said that their genuine and justified demands will be addressed without any delay. They also issued on the spot orders to the MD SRTC on certain issues and also agreed to hold DPC shortly besides settlement of the issues of consolidated/ contractual drivers.
The Union leaders also assured the Minister that they will not struck work and cooperate with the SRTC Management if their issues are solved without any delay.
