JAMMU, Sept 7: Sangram Sena (SS) and Dogra Liberation Front (DLF), Jammu today demanded closure of slaughter house of Dogra Hall, keeping in view the sentiments of devotees visiting the Shiv Temple at Dogra Hall.
In a joint meeting held under the chairmanship of president, J&K Sangram Sena, Ram Rattan Raina and president, Dogra Liberation Front, Ram Pal Sharma, the workers of the respective organizations expressed grave concern over the pollution created by Slaughter house at Dogra Hall.
They alleged that the Municipal Corporation Jammu is playing with the sentiments of devotees, who visit the Shiv temple. Their sentiments are gravely hurt due to slaughter of goats in the slaughter house situated just opposite to Dogra Hall.
The waste blood flowing in the drains emits foul smell, which irritates the devotees of Shiv temple. Moreover, unborn dead baby goats floating in the drains blocks the drains and invites dogs, vultures and other scavengers in the area, due to which the life of inhabitants of the area has become hell.
They appealed the Deputy Chief Minister to intervene into the matter and redress it as early as possible keeping in view the religious sentiments of the people.
