JAMMU, Mar 25: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria its State general secretary has expressed concern over non disbursement of salaries to the teachers working under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for last seven months.
The meeting criticized the State Project Director Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for not releasing the funds in favour of the teachers for last seven months.
He said the concerned officers are taking the issue lightly and delaying the matter on one pretext or the other which has added to the woes of these teachers who are at the verge of starvation.
The Forum seeking immediate intervention of Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand who is holding the portfolio of Education Ministry and urged him to issue directives to concerned authorities to resolve the issue.
