Bhadarwah, Mar 7: A 43-year-old Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawan posted at Jathi area in Tehsil Assar of Doda district died due to massive heart attack on Tuesday afternoon.
Raj Dev Singh 43, S/o Harbans Singh R/o Kathua was posted in Counter Insurgency (CI) wing of 7 Battalion SSB in Jathi area on NH1B under the jurisdiction of Police Station Assar.
According to reports, Raj Dev Singh who was working as a cook, suddenly fell down while complaining acute chest pain and breathlessness this afternoon. His colleagues immediately shifted him to Primary Health Center Assar in unconscious condition.
“On his deteriorating condition, the Jawan was shifted to District Hospital Doda where doctors declared him as brought dead,” said SHO Assar Faroq Khateeb.
“After postmortem and completion of other legal formalities, the body of the deceased, who died of sudden cardiac arrest was handed over to his unit,” he added.
