SSC seeks PM’s intervention on Sharda Peeth PoJK encroachment

JAMMU, Dec 2: Save Sharda Committee Kashmir has written a letter to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi seeking his immediate intervention in getting encroachments on Sharda Peeth PoJK removed.
In a press release the Head & Founder of the Committee has requested PM to take up the issue of removal of Coffee Home and restoration of damaged boundary wall of Sharda Sarvagnya Peeth that lies in PoJK in district Neelum.
The letter said that recently it was gathered from visit of Civil Society members of PoJK who visited Sharda Peeth on request of SSCK, that a Coffee Home has been constructed right in premises of Sharda Peeth by Pak Army which was inaugurated by Brig. Tanveer Ahmad named Army Peeth Pavillion. “This is in gross violation of The Supreme Court PoJK’s judgement dated 03.01.2018 in favour of the Committee regarding encroachment of Sharda Peeth. This action by Pak army has hurt the sentiments of crores of Sharda followers especially J&K Hindus” said Ravinder Pandita.
Save Sharda Committee has geared up the civil society of PoJK also who have written to concerned authorities to intervene and restore the Peeth.
The issue attaches larger significance after the inauguration of Sharda Yatra Temple (Base Camp) at LoC Teetwal by Home Minister on March 22 this year.
The newly built temple was consecrated by Swami Vidhushekra Bharathi Shankracharya of Sringeri Mutt on June 5 this year and is managed and run by Save Sharda Committee.
