JAMMU, Mar 22: In a major relief for cardiac patients across Jammu and Kashmir, the Super Speciality Hospital (SSH) Jammu commenced operations of its Cath Lab from today.
Five coronary interventional procedures were done today. The new Cath Lab facility is significant as it will facilitate various diagnostic and interventional procedures like ROTA-ablation, IVUS and Peri Operative Transesophageal Echo (T), Ultrasound, ASD and PDA closure.
Besides, the routine cardiac procedures like coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty both simple and complex, procedures like Temporary Pacemakers, Permanent Pacemakers, Cardiac Re-synchronization Therapy Pacemaker (CRTP) and Cardiac re-synchronization Therapy with Defibrillator (CRTD) with pacing will be performed.
It is pertinent to mention that these advancements will transform cardiac care in J&K providing timely and life-saving interventions.
