JAMMU, Oct 14: Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) today held a protest demonstration against Power Development Department (PDD) at Damune, Nagrota.
The irate residents of Damune led by general secretary of SSH Subash Prasher raised slogans against PDD and demanded immediate installation of the new transformer in the area.
While speaking, Prasher said that the transformer in Damune was damaged some three months back and was lifted by the PDD for repair. But till date it has not been installed, he added.
He added that the residents of Damune met PDD officials in this regards but till date no action has been taken. He alleged that PDD is not paying any heed towards the issue regarding installation of the transfer, compelling the people to come on road and hold protest.
Prasher warned to launch agitation if their demand will not be redressed at the earliest.
Among others present were Raje Ram, Baisakhi Ram, Ganesh Dutt, Khush Dayal, etc.
