SSH protests against construction of slaughter house at Nagrota

JAMMU, May 25: The Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) activists held a demonstration at Nagrota in protest against construction of slaughter House in Nagrota Khanpour and demanded immediate rescinding of the decision.
The demonstration was led by Subash Parashar, general secretary of the organisation. The protestors also tried to block the National Highway however they were pursued by police who sought them time up to Tuesday by which they will take up the issue with Commissioner JMC.
The protestors, while raising slogans against the authorities warned that they will not allow the construction of slaughter house in the area where a temple and a school exists. They said the construction of slaughter house will add to the pollution in the area and erode the sanctity of Nagrota where the sacred temple of Kandoli Mata -the first darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi exists.
They said thousands of pilgrims pay obeisance in the holy temple and the construction of slaughter house in the area will erode the sanctity of the area.
