JAMMU, Apr 12: A function was held the other day in Sanjeeveni Shards Kendra (SSK)at Anand Nagar, Bohri in which the newly nominated Member Legislative Assembly (MLC) Surinder Ambardar was the chief guest.
While speaking in the function noted political analyst Dr. R L Bhat said that it was not that the representative from the community has been elected to the Upper House but the political acumen and long experience of Ambardar makes him different from the rest. He hoped that Surinder Ambardar will take up the case of the community with more energy and speak his mind without getting influenced by any quarter.
Eminent scholar Prof K N Pandita complimented Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for nominating Ambardar to the Upper House of the J&K Legislative Assembly. While congratulating Ambardar on his nomination he said that a window of opportunity has opened for the community and we must snatch this to highlight the burning problems faced by the exiled Pandits.
Surinder Ambardar assured that things will be visibly different while taking up the issues facing his community were concerned. He said that he in a positive way try to develops some united working ground and frame work in which people and groups of different shades will be consulted so that a common ground is evolved. While cautioning the community, he said that if we fail to evolve a minimum working common ground the community will not recover its lost geo-political ground. Ambardar said further that he will work day and night and knock every door which promised succor to the exiled KPs and that according to him will only be possible when his hands are strengthened by a unified response from all concerned.
Senior community leader P L Koul Badgami also spoke on the occasion.
