JAMMU, Mar 19: Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra (SSK), dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Kashmiri Pandit community, is gearing up for its annual Navreh festival, running from March 29 to 31. In conjunction with the festival, SSK organized a special literary meet at the Shree Krishan Joo Razdan Hall, which also serves as the SSK library.
The literary meet featured renowned writers and poets who shared insightful articles and poems on three influential figures from Kashmiri history: Samrat Lalitaditya Muktapeda, the 8th-century king known for expanding Kashmir’s borders; Shriya Bhat, a revered medical practitioner and Ayurvedic healer; and Mata Laleshwari (Lal Ded), a mystical Shiv Yogini whose spiritual verses continue to inspire.
The event was not only a celebration of Kashmir history but also a reflection of the community’s enthusiasm for the Navreh festival. Writers and poets expressed their commitment to spreading the festival’s message throughout the community.
Prominent participants included P L Hatash, Vijay Wali, A. K. Koul Rahi and Dr. Ramesh Razdan, among others. The event was presided over by poetess Santosh Shah Nadan, with notable speeches from SSK leaders, including Chairman Dr. M. K. Bharat and Vice President D. N. Raina. The meet concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from D. N. Raina, acknowledging the success of the event.
