JAMMU, Nov 29: Department of Environmental Sciences of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu organised a seminar on “Cyber Crime and its Preventive Measures.’
Mohd. Yaseen Kichloo, SSP Security, Civil Secretariat, J&K was the resource person for Cyber security.
He deliberated at length about the Cyber Crime and its associated issues. He had a threadbare discussion on Spoofing, Phishing, ATM frauds, Click Jacking etc.
The other resource person for the event was Advocate Neeta Verma, President Human Rights Mission J&K. She talked about sexual harassment and focused on various preventive measures.
Dr. Surinder Kumar, Principal of the College was the chief guest. He emphasised that awareness regarding Cyber Security is essential in today’s scenario. He appreciated the efforts of the organising committee and encouraged them to organise more such events in future for the benefit of the students.Prof. Nazia Rasool Latifi, Coordinator and HoD, Department of Environmental Sciences formally welcomed the resource persons and participants. She highlighted the importance of awareness regarding cyber issues in this digital scenario.
The program was attended by Dr. Sandhya Bhardwaj, Dr. Monika Malhotra, Dr. Parveen Singh, Dr. Shamim Rather, Malik Aijaz, Prof. Naresh Kumar and other faculty members. Deepasha Sharma, student of the College coordinated the entire event. Dr. Deepak Pathania presented the formal vote of thanks.
