Doda, Apr 18: Following the directions of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the Department of Health & FW Medical Block Ghat today organized a day long Mega Block Health Mela cum Awareness Programme at Community Hall Doda.
Chairman BDC Ghat Sharifa Begum ,SSP Doda Ab Qayoom, ADDC Doda Pran Singh,President MC Doda Ved Parkash Gupta, CMO Doda Dr M Y Mir, District Ayush Officer Doda Dr Sanjay Raina, BMO Ghat Dr Saleem Ahmed, MS AH GMC Doda Dr Yudhveer, ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers, Staff from Health Department and other allied departments besides students from various schools were present on the occasion.
The BMO Ghat stated that the mela was organized to educate the general public and to generate mass awareness about the various health schemes including online registration of Ayushman Bharat (Golden Cards), NCD screening, Mental Health activities like yoga and medication etc.
During the program, various cultural activities followed by skit on Beti Bachao, drug addiction, tuberculosis etc were presented by the students of ANMT School Doda.
On this occasion, different stall were put up by health department and other allied departments viz AYUSH Department, Animal Husbandry Deptt, SDRF, Fire & Emergency Deptt, Mahila Shakti Kendra, One Stop Centre,ICPS, eSanjeevni, Ayushman Bharat, RBSK Screening and general health check up.
While speaking on the occasion the SSP Doda advised the young participants to concentrate in their studies so that they can actively participate in the nation building. He asked them to keep themselves away from the drug menace and urged them to support the district police to eradicate the menace of drug from the district in order to become the drug free district, besides congratulated the health department for organising the event for the awareness and benefit of the general public.
