DODA, Sept 24: SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom here today visited Gandoh and took stock of law and order situation.
He also chaired a crime and security review meeting with officers of Sub Division Gandoh.
The SSP held a comprehensive review on present security scenario and other security measures taken in view of upcoming Eid Milad-ul-Nabi festival and other ongoing local fairs and religious events in Gandoh area.
The officers were directed to ensure foolproof security for smooth celebration of all the upcoming religious events in the area.
They were directed to have coordination with Army, CAPF and other security agencies in the area and work in synergized manner for effective surveillance on ground.
They were also instructed to keep special police pickets, VDGs on alert and there should be a regular exercise of conducting of long and short range patrolling and bowl exercise in the area.
While reviewing the crime, a threadbare discussion on cases registered during the current year along with backlog cases, inquest proceedings, absconders, missing persons, history-sheeters review, beat books review and court processes was held and the officers were stressed upon to work on mission mode basis to ensure maximum disposal to reduce the crime pendency and other allied matters with special efforts on crime of heinous nature so that the culprits involved are booked and justice is delivered to the victims.
The officers were emphasized to enhance surveillance and launch special drive against drug smugglers, bovine smugglers and mining mafias active in the area.
On this occasion Adil Hussain, SDPO Gandoh; Inspector Vikram Singh, SHO Gandoh; IC PPs Changa, Kahara and other Investigating Officers were also present.
