DODA, Oct 4: SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom here today chaired a crime and security review meeting which was attended by all the Supervisory Officers and SHOs of the District.
A threadbare discussion was held with on cases registered during current year as well as backlog cases and the Supervisory Officers and SHOs were directed to ensure maximum disposal of cases under investigation, complete inquest proceedings, act against absconders and sub-absconders and trace out the missing persons.
They were also directed to open history sheets of drug peddlers, OGWs and bovine smugglers so that effective surveillance could be mounted on their activities.
It was emphasized upon the Supervisory Officers and SHOs to identify the property of sub-absconders, drug smugglers for initiating proceedings in the Court of law for attachment of their property.
The officers were stressed upon to work on mission mode basis and be fully geared up in the area of investigation and other fields of policing so that target assigned by senior functionaries could be achieved to the desired mark.
Regarding investigation of theft cases, Supervisory Officers and SHOs were directed to make special efforts and ensure recovery of stolen properties.
Against traffic violation, they were stressed upon to get themselves geared-up and take stringent action against traffic violators besides intensifying action under other preventive sections including action under COTPA in their area of responsibility.
It was also emphasized upon the Supervisory Officers/SHOs to take stringent action in SIM card fraud/misuse cases against SIM vendors/users.
They were also directed to enhance installation of CCTV Cameras under operation Third EYE, effective surveillance on Madrassas, Child Care Centres under operation Pathshalla, disposal of online grievances, complaints and holding of PCPG meetings on regular basis to address the issues of general public.
