REASI, June 24: Tribal Gujjar Bakkarwal Welfare Forum (TGBWF) today organized a program at Reasi district headquarter and honoured the families of the police personnel who sacrificed their lives while protecting the country and the families of those civilians who fought terrorism bravely.
Amit Gupta, SSP Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion. SSP Amit Gupta honored the families of the martyrs by presenting them shawls and mementos.
SSP Amit Gupta while felicitating the families of civilians Peer Mohammad Iqbal and Bashir Ahmed who were martyred in the terrorist attack mentioned the bravery and patriotism of these people. He said that to organize such program, it is an important step to honor the families of the martyrs. He assured the families of the martyred police personnel that Jammu and Kashmir Police would try to extend all possible help to them.
The families of martyred SPO Munir Hussain, SPO Jaan Mohammad, SPO Mohammad Sharif, Selection Grade Constable Mohammad Ali and Selection Grade Constable Mohammad Rafiq were also honoured during the program.
Earlier, the office bearers of the Forum, Naseeb Ali, Kabir Khan and Khurshid Ahmed while mentioning the activities of the Forum, said that earlier such programs were organized in Rajori district. The purpose of the forum is to make the young generation aware of the heroic stories of the martyrs and to honour the families of martyred jawans who have sacrificed their lives for for the nation and society.
