DODA, Dec 26: SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom and Dy. SP DAR Doda, Susheel Kumar held a meeting at District Police Lines Doda which was attended by a number of retired cops and wards of deceased cops of Doda.
While speaking in the meeting the retired cops raised their issues and demanded special reservation for wards of retired and martyred cops in Government jobs.
They also demanded medical camp and provision of travelling allowance to retired cops in lieu of Court attendance.
SSP Doda listened to the issues and suggestions put forth by the retired cops and assured them that their issues and suggestions will be taken up at appropriate level and all efforts will be made to redress their grievances.
Before the meeting, the SSP inaugurated Grievances Cell at DPL Doda for retired cops.
He said that the Grievance Cell established at District Police Lines Doda will inform the retired cops about benefits being extended by the Department for them from time to time and will also address the issues and demands of retired cops.
