NOWSHERA, July 14: Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, Mohd Aslam today held interaction with the Municipal Committee Members Nowshera, Beopar Mandal, Sanatan Dharma Sabha and other organizations and sought support for the smooth conduct of upcoming Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra and cooperation in maintaining law and order in the area.
SSP was accompanied by SDPO Nowshera Taussif Ahmed and SHO Nowshera Insp Rajesh Jasrotia besides other officers. During interaction the SSP also referred to the importance of Thana Diwas and holding such interactions with the public in maintaining peace and law and order in the area. He also listened to the public grievances and their issues.
The meeting was attended by Chairman Municipality Nowshera Narinder Sharma, president Sanathan Dharm Sabha Jagdish Sawhney, president Mata Mangla Devi Management Committee Ashok Kumar and other Counsellors, Sarpanches and members of civil society and Beopar Mandal, Nowshera. The public was given assurance that their genuine grievances would be addressed.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP reiterated that matters relating to drugs, bovine smuggling and other social issues will be taken seriously and Rajouri police has already expressed zero tolerance regarding these issues. The participants were requested to cooperate with police in maintaining law and order in the area and identifying anti- national and anti- social elements. Some public grievances were settled on the spot. People of border areas were cautioned regarding border crimes and requested to extend cooperation to police for mischief mongers and OGWs.
