SSP interacts with families of police martyrs, retired cops

UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: Udhampur Police organized an interactive meeting with next of kin of martyrs and retired police officials at District Police Lines Udhampur.
SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey chaired the meeting and enquired about well being of the families besides listening to their grievances. The SSP was accompanied by Himat Singh, DySP DAR DPL Udhampur.
Discussion was held regarding issues pertaining to the families and matters which need immediate attention. They were assured for every kind of help / facilitation from the district / PHQ level for the welfare related matters. They were also made aware about various welfare measures for the families of Police martyrs and assurance was also given regarding further help to the wards of martyrs to pursue their studies.
While addressing the gathering, the SSP highlighted and acknowledged the services rendered by the retired police personnel in the service of nation and assured them that all of them are part of Police family and can approach any Police officer or police unit at any time whenever they are in need.
During the meeting, various grievances were raised by the participants, who were assured by the SSP Udhampur that these issues will be taken up at appropriate level for timely redressal. Retirees & NoKs of martyrs expressed satisfaction and hoped further strengthening of this bond.
