JAMMU, June 26: In order to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2024, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar, conducted a briefing for 15 probationary Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) from the 2023 batch at Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Conference Hall here today.
The probationary officers, assigned to the Jammu Zone by the Police Headquarters J&K, received critical instructions and insights concerning their roles and responsibilities during the Yatra.
SSP Jammu emphasized the importance of heightened security measures in response to the current security scenario, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the pilgrims.
Dr Vinod Kumar stressed the need for stringent security protocols to counter potential threats and ensure a secure pilgrimage experience for all devotees.
He encouraged the officers to prioritize effective communication and collaboration to swiftly address challenges and provide timely assistance to pilgrims.
Highlighting the significance of community engagement along the Yatra route, SSP Jammu underscored the need for real-time monitoring and prompt reporting of any suspicious activities or incidents.
