JAMMU, Nov 10: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, today chaired a meeting at the District Police Line (DPL) in Jammu to review the crime and security situation in the district.
The meeting was attended by all Zonal SPs, SDPOs, DySP Dar, SHOs, and Incharge officers of police and border posts.
As per a statement, the meeting focused on various aspects of policing, including the quality of case investigations, crime disposal, verifications, and the handling of NDPS and UAPA cases. Issues concerning absconders, missing persons, and effective policing were also discussed thoroughly.
SSP Joginder Singh emphasized the importance of ensuring both quantitative and qualitative case disposal, urging officers to prioritize action against those involved in social crimes.
He also called for strengthened policing to serve the public effectively in different areas of Jammu district.
He directed officers to adopt a tough stance against anti-national and anti-social elements, with a particular focus on identifying and acting against drug peddlers.
“There is zero tolerance for drugs, and we will deal with this menace firmly,” he stated.
Additionally, SSP Singh highlighted a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, crime concealment, and indiscipline at all levels.
He remarked that the police force’s efficiency is reflected in its response time to daily incidents and stressed that officers should maintain both promptness and empathy when addressing public grievances.
