JAMMU Oct 3: Dr Vinod Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Kargil accompanied by Syeed Mujahid-ul-Haq today convened a meeting with retired Police Welfare Committee of district Kargil at Conference Hall of District Police Office Kargil.
The meeting was an effort to reach out to the retired police personnel and review the welfare measures being taken by the police for them and their families.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar sought cooperation from the participants in helping in-service officers and officials to enhance their investigating skills. He also urged them to be eyes and ears of police force and not to simply wither away after a productive life at service for decades.
Retd. Inspector Haji Mohd Issa, president Retired Police Welfare committee, Kargil raised the issue of Police Housing Colony at Khumbathang, Kargil.
Dr. Vinod Kumar assured them to look into all their genuine demands and seek their earlier redressal at district level and also take up issues pertaining to higher authorities.
Among others meeting was attended by Haji Mohd Hussain, vice president, Ali Rahim, general secretary, Ghulam Mohd, cashier, Najaf Ali, Chief Organizer, Mohd Hanif, Namgay Dorjey, Haji Mohd Khaleel and Mohd Ali, who are members of Retired Police Welfare Committee, Kargil.
