SSP Kathua flags off students’ tour to Mumbai

KATHUA, June 13: SSP Kathua R C Kotwal today flagged off 56 students of district Kathua for week long Bharat Darshan Tour -2022 alongwith an impressive functional ceremony held at DPL Kathua.
The other officers who were present on the occasion were Additional SP Kathua Suresh Kumar Chib, DySP Headquarters Kathua Shammi Kumar, DySP DAR Kathua and Sukhdev Singh among others.
The group of 56 students alongwith five Caretakers selected from all over Kathua district started their tour from District Police Lines Kathua to Jammu and will travel by Air from Jammu to Delhi, Delhi to Mumbai and back from Mumbai to Jammu.The tour has been organised by J&K Police. It will be of six days and the group will return on 18th of June 2022 of this month. Besides 05 caretakers from the department are accompanying the group, who will visit different places during their tour. These caretakers will ensure proper health care and safe journey of the students.
Aim of this tour is to facilitate the children belonging to economically weaker section not only to visit other parts of India but to have an exposure that will benefit them to achieve goals in their life. During their interaction the students will get knowledge of scientific developments and cultural heritage of the country. All the lodging boarding and transport facilities have been provided by District Police Kathua.
In addition to it, the SSP Kathua advised the touring students to take full advantage of the opportunity and cherish these memories through out their life.
