JAMMU, June 24: Ahead of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP Railways Jammu accompanied by other jurisdictional officers of GRP Jammu and other sister agencies viz RPF, CRPF etc, today reviewed the security of Railways Station Jammu and adjoining areas.
The SSP Railways inspected the security grid, track patrolling and also inspected the security equipments installed for frisking and for checking luggage of the passengers at the Railway Station. The SSP Railways provided on spot instructions/guidelines to the jurisdictional officers for safety and security of both men and material at Railway Station Jammu.

While addressing the officers, SSP Railways stressed for intensifying day and night patrolling all along the track and at other vital installations and also to maintain close coordination with the sister agencies viz, RPF, JKAP, local police and inhabitants residing in the close vicinity of the Railway track and station so as to get the advance input/information to thwart the evil designs of the ANE’/ASE’S.
The officers were instructed to brief the Jawans/officers to provide all viable assistance to public especially Shri Amarnath Ji Yatries and be polite with public but firm with duties. The jurisdictional officers were directed to brief the ‘nafri’ under their control to remain available, visible and alert in their respective AOR. It was also instructed that jawans be briefed to be ready to retaliate any threat at anytime.
On the direction of SSP Railways Jammu, a Joint Reception Cum Facilitation Centre is established at Railway Station Jammu for facilitation of Yatries of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra with facilities like Announcement System, First Aid Box, Drinking water, Wheel Chair, Medical assistance, Stretchers, Red cross/Child Help Line.
