RAMBAN, Feb 13: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban, Dr. Haseeb-ur-Rehman today flagged off a Bharat Darshan tour from District Police Line, Ramban being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir police of district Ramban under Civic Action Programme to enhance the exposure of students and to promote cultural exchange and exchange of ideas.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ashok Kumar, Addl. SP, Sanjay Parihar, Dy. SP Hqrs, Asgar Malik, Dy SP DAR, Ajay Jamwal, prominent citizens, religious leaders and other officers and officials of District Police were present on the occasions.
A group of 131 boys from all corners of the district, accompanied by Dy SP, Sumit Sharma left for a seven days tour of New Delhi and surroundings carrying the message of communal harmony and war on drugs.
This is an effort by Jammu and Kashmir Police to increase the confidence and exposure of our talented children so that they are able to compete and face the challenges of future and stay away from the perils of anti social and national activities, said SSP.
On the occasion, SSP and ADC while interacting with the touring students advised them to avail the opportunity by taking best out of this tour by visiting places of historical and contemporary importance/interest and other places of interest.
During the tour, an Interaction was also planned with President of India, Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi at Delhi.
