REASI, Apr 18: For implementation of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS), SSP Reasi, Shailender Singh held a marathon meeting at District Police Lines, here today.
The meeting was attended by Addl Superintendent of Police, all SDPOs, SHOs and incharge of Police Posts. Inspector incharge of CCTNS and other facilitators were also called in the meeting.
Threadbare discussion on different issues languishing the implementation were raised and resolved on the spot. All SHOs were directed to switch over to daily diary on CCTNS positively compliance by today only and merge ‘Munshiat’ with CCTNS lab from today onwards. ‘Muharrar Head Constable’ (MHC) has to write daily diary of the Police Station on online portal of CCTNS.
Issues regarding power supply and connectivity for CCTNS machines, put forth by SHOs, were listened to by the SSP and got resolved by his intervention on the spot. To streamline and ease out the difficulties, Inspector Raghuraj Singh, incharge of CCTNS of district Reasi, explained the procedures for data entry and update in investigation of each case FIR. SDPOs were directed to monitor and guide the Investigating Officers.
The SSP directed all SHOs to register themselves on Cy-TRAIN (National Cybercrime Training Center) Portal in weeks time and adopt at least one training module depending upon suitability and necessity of the current need of their respective Police Station.
It was also ordered that all complaints including online be disposed of on merit in a week’s time and extending not beyond fortnight in special circumstances and be updated CCTNS portal accordingly.
In order to fast-familiarize the officers with the tools of smart policing, compulsory hands on job of CCTNS electronic gadgets of all Probationary Sub-Inspectors has been ordered. Rotational roster in this regard will be issued from District Police Office. Same compulsory attendance of one hour, at least four days a week, of all SDPOs & SHOs has been ordered in CCTNS lab which SSP will monitor by himself putting his own hands on computers from District Police Office and will intervene whenever any glitches are encountered that hinders the progress.
