KATHUA, Jan 2: In order to review the general security situation in the district, SSP Kathua R C Kotwal accompanied by Addl. S P Kathua Suresh Kumar Chib today conducted security review meeting regarding crime, law & order, security scenario and over-all functioning of district Kathua with all supervisory officers, SHOs, Incharge PPs.
He emphasized on strengthening of inter-State Naka points, National Highway Nakas, to keep a check on transportation of drugs, weapons and other criminal activities.
He also sought first hand information regarding the measures for tackling different situations.
The SSP Kathua emphasized upon the officers to strengthen the intelligence grid and ensure input sharing for rapid action by the security forces and take appropriate counter measures to prevent evil attempts of militants.
The SSP Kathua said that Anti Tunneling exercise & Anti- Drone Activities along International Border (IB) should be conducted on regular basis to thwart the nefarious designs of antinational elements.
He further briefed as well as directed all the officers to intensify patrolling and surveillance/domination of their areas,activate Border Police Posts and resources available with them to avert any untoward incident.He stressed upon for effective and coordinated efforts to meet out any eventuality.
