JAMMU, Sept 28: Ahead of Navratra Festival, SSP Railways, Ranjit Singh Sambyal today reviewed the security of Railway Station Katra as well as other Railway Stations and track falling in the jurisdiction of GRP Katra.
Accompanied by SDPO Railways Katra and SHO P/S GRP Katra, the SSP visited all the Nakas at and around Railway Station Katra and found all the deployed men alert on their duties.
The Quick Reaction Team was also well equipped with BP apparatus and weapons along with full ammunition. The SSP briefed the cops to maintain alertness and remain extra vigilant to foil evil designs of anti-national elements.
The Dog Squad has also been deployed there to check trains.
A heavy influx of devotees was seen at Railway Station Katra visiting to pay obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in view of Navratras commencing from September 29.
The SSP also asked the officers and officials to maintain decency while checking pilgrims and their belongings.
