SAMBA, Feb 9: Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh accompanied by Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary, Deputy SP, DAR, Ajay Anand, SHO Samba, Deepak Jasrotia, presided over ‘Thana Diwas’ at Police Station, (PS), Samba and listened to and redressed the grievances of the people.
The prominent persons including president, Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha, Capt.(retd) Inder Singh, president, Beopar Mandal, Tejinder Singh, president, Social Club, Sunil Gupta, president Civil Society, Amardeep Singh, member Civil Society, Vikesh Amba, (Retd). Principal Didar Singh, president, National Human Rights, Justice organization, Rajan Gupta, Sarpanch, Kheli Mandi Lablu Sambyal, social activists, Swaran Singh, Rajeshwar Singh, Lucky Sambyal and Chander Uday Singh highlighted the issues like perils of narcotics substances, drugs peddling, bovine smuggling, jamming in certain areas etc which were noted by the concerned Police Officer to be redressed on top priority.
Thanking the respectable persons, SSP Samba, Benam Tosh said that police is committed to counter nacro terrorism and will try their level best to eradicate the malice of drugs abuse and narcotic substances addictions from Samba district with the cooperation of the people. He further said that even as tough stance will be taken by police against criminals, smugglers and peddlers of narcotics/ drugs, due care will be taken to ensure respect and dignity of all persons of civilized society of Samba. Benam Tosh assured the prominent citizens at the Thana Diwas that Samba Police will organize series of police-public meetings, interaction with students, teachers and parents, debates, symposium, seminars, sports events and talent hunt programmes shortly to channelize energy of youth in right directions.
Thana Diwas was also organized at all the police stations where grievances of the people were listen to and issues raised were noted to be resolved on priority.
