SSP Sandeep Mehta reviews security, crime in Doda on assuming charge

DODA, Nov 16: After assuming the charge of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Sandeep Mehta, today reviewed the current security situation and crime scenario in this hilly district.
Earlier, the new officer was warmly welcomed at the District Police Headquarters, where he was presented with a guard of honour by senior officials.
In a brief but formal ceremony, the outgoing SSP, Mohammad Aslam, handed over the baton to Mehta.
Following the handover, SSP Mehta convened an introductory meeting at the Conference Hall of the District Police Lines (DPL) with all supervisory officers, Station House Officers (SHOs), and In-Charge Police Posts (IC PPs) from across Doda district.
During the meeting, officers briefed SSP Mehta on the current security situation, crime trends, and other pertinent issues in their respective areas.
Addressing the officers, SSP Mehta stressed the importance of dedication and enthusiasm in tackling the challenges faced by the people of Doda.
He underscored the need for strong teamwork and open communication, urging officers to keep their doors open for the public and be responsive to their concerns.
The new SSP emphasized a proactive approach to maintaining law and order and directed all officers to take necessary steps to prevent any situation that might disrupt the peace.
He called for a collective effort to enhance the safety and well-being of the people in the district, urging officers to work with renewed commitment to public service.
