JAMMU, Sept 6: Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu today organized ‘Traffic Awareness’ Program in which M.L. Kaith, S.S.P Traffic (Rural), Jammu was the chief guest who addressed the students.
At the outset of the lecture, Kaith, discussed about traffic hazards and road accidents in which people are being killed daily.
He urged the students to abide by the newly introduced traffic rules which have become more strict and with cooperate traffic police personnel.
He also showed statistics with regards to alarming number of road accidents and registration of FIRs. He exhorted the students to wear helmet as it is a big safeguard in case of road accidents.
He directed the students not to use mobile phone while driving the two wheelers and four wheeler vehicles & avoid overspeeding.
Prof. (Dr.) Amar Singh Sudan (Chairman), MBSCET presented memento to the Chief while Prof. Amrik Singh (Vice-Principal) presented memento to Inspector, A.Choudhary, DTI (Samba) H. S. Gill (Director, Student Welfare) was also present during presentation. Preeti Kaul and Jasmine Kour anchored the program.
