JAMMU, Jan 19: Continuing the awareness drive and to ensure safety and security of the passengers travelling on National Highway today, Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic National Highway Rohit Baskotra organised an interaction cum awareness program at Battery Chashma on NH44 in which a number of drivers and commuters participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Baskotra awared aware the drivers about different road safety related issues and appealed them to follow Motor Vehicle Act and traffic related rules which are prerequisite for the safety and security of the passengers.
He also stressed that passengers should also be aware about the duties of the drivers and advised them to be the eyes and ears of Traffic Police. They were appealed to come forward to complain against all types of visible traffic violations on traffic helpline numbers- 9419993745- 9906023617.
Among other officers, ARTO Ramban Samrinder Jamwal was also present on the occasion and guided the drivers about traffic rules.
