SSP Traffic Rural Jammu lays emphasis on e-challaning to curb traffic violations

RAJOURI, Mar 6: SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, Vinay Kumar Khular, chaired a crime review meeting and darbar at the DPL Conference Hall here today.
In attendance were challaning officers from Rajouri and Poonch, where SSP Khular commended their previous efforts.
He emphasized the importance of thorough e-challaning and highlighted key areas of concern such as overloading, over-speeding, overcharging, drunken driving, and other visible traffic violations.
Safety of passengers was underscored as paramount, with strict enforcement measures stressed upon by challaning officers.
Additionally, there was an emphasis on raising awareness among youth and students, urging them to refrain from underage driving and dangerous stunts on roads.
Smooth traffic regulation within towns was deemed essential to provide quality service to the public.
Following a detailed discussion on traffic issues with challaning officers, SSP Khular opened the floor for grievances from jawans, resolving some on the spot.
He reiterated the priority of jawan welfare while maintaining discipline during lawful duties. Instructions were given regarding the smooth conduct of upcoming events and festivals, including Mahashivratri and Ramzan.
Notable attendees included DySP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch Nawaz Ahmed, Inspector Ajaz Ahmed Pervaiz DTI Rajouri, and Inspector Arun Kotwal DTI Sunderbani, alongside more than 40 traffic officials.
