RAMBAN, Jan 5: Activists of Shiv Sena Yuva Morcha (SSYM) here today staged a protest demonstration at Chanderkote against killings of civilians in Rajouri by the terrorists.
The protestors expressed anguish over targeted killings.
Scores of activists of the Morcha led by its State president, Naresh Kumar raised anti-Pakistan slogans and burnt the effigy of terrorism.
They held Pakistan responsible for the civilian killings in Dangri, Rajouri and demanded befitting reply to Pakistan for its attempts to revive terrorism in J&K.
The protesters said that since rifles provided to VDC members who were above 60 years of age were taken away by J&K Police, terrorist activities have increased across J&K.
The protesters demanded strengthening of VDCs with sophisticated weapons without any delay so that target killings can be avoided.
A candle light protest was also organised in Ukhral.
