JAMMU, Dec 13: St Paul’s Church always maintains peace and communal harmony in the society by organizing various kinds of events, in which people from all walks of life participate.
This was stated by MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta, while inaugurating a Mela organized during Pre-Christmas Festivity at St Paul’s Church here today.
He also announced the construction of a shed at Mission Compound in view of huge gathering during festivals.
The women fellowship which is working for spiritual growth of the Church people has also associated itself for the welfare of their people for the social upliftment of the women especially for the education of women and girl child, he added.
Later, Gupta had a round of the stalls installed for the visiting people. Some entertainment stalls were also installed for the children. Cultural programme was also organized, in which singers sang songs and mesmerized the audience with their melodious voice.
The event witnessed huge footfall as people from all communities of Jammu visited the Church during the Mela.
The visitors expressed hope that such programme will be organized in the future also so as to bring the people from all the communities together.
