KATHUA, Apr 25: Two trucks loaded with cement were seized by sleuths of Sales Tax at Bagha nullah in Kathua district when they sneaked into this side of State from Punjab after changing the route.
According to reports two trucks bearing number JK021-9294 and JK08 B -9588 which were loaded with cement from Punjab tried to avert the ST Tool Post at Lakhanpur and changed the route via Kot Punno late last night.
But they were intercepted by ST Naka party at Bagh Nallah. The ST team was led by CTO Gurvinder Singh and Inspector Birender Gupta under the supervision of DC Sales Tax Lakhanpur, Pankaj Magotra.
They seized both the trucks and imposed a fine of Rs 1.50 lakh on each truck. The consignment was to be supplied at Jammu.
