Stable dispensation key to faster development: Shaheen

BANIHAL, July 28: Expressing confidence that National Conference (NC) will get decisive mandate in the upcoming State Assembly elections to form Government on its own, the party candidate for Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen has said that stable dispensation holds key to faster development and effective implementation of various welfare schemes for poor and those living in remote areas.
“Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has proved how a complete turnaround can be brought about in the overall situation and developmental landscape with sincerity of purpose and active cooperation of the people”, Shaheen said while addressing a huge rally held to felicitate him on being nominated as NC candidate from Banihal Assembly Constituency.
Shaheen expressed his gratitude to the party high command, especially Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, saying the trust reposed in him will further motivate him to work for the betterment and welfare of the people of Banihal Constituency, who have suffered immensely on many counts due to the nepotism and favouritism perpetrated by the local MLA.
He complimented the Chief Minister for his wholehearted support in the development of Banihal Tehsil and expressed gratitude for sanctioning two Sub Divisions, two Tehsils, two Community Development blocks,  four Niabats, a Degree College at Ukharhal besides approving Rs 3 crores for improvement of Neel Road, providing 4700 solar home lights in remote areas of Banihal, sanctioning of a Trauma Hispital, four micro – hydel projects and augmentation of several schemes for development of Banihal Tehsil.
Shaheen urged the people to strengthen hands of the Chief Minister so that the developmental tempo is carried forward with renewed vigour. He urged the party functionaries to fan out across the Constituency and apprise the people about developmental initiatives taken by Omar led Government for their welfare.
