KATHUA, Mar 25: The standing wheat crop was damage in devastating fire which suddenly broke out in the fields near here, today. The wheat crop was ready to harvest but the fire broke out from nearby field and engulfed the wheat fields resulting the standing crop was turned into ashes and heavy loss to farmer.
The affected farmer said that when the family came to know, the fire has damaged the standing crop, they rushed to the stop and were shocked to see that entire wheat crop had turned to ashes. The family demanded compensation for the loss.
