*Establish Vedic School in all districts

JAMMU, Dec 30: The two-day convention of Vedic Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP) at Pink city, Jaipur concluded today with strong resolutions demanding common code for all the citizens irrespective of religion, construction of Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya, revocation of Article 370 and promotion of Vedic Sanskriti and values.
National president of VBKP, Subhash Kaushik moved the resolutions, which were passed with the strong vote of over 700 delegates participating in convention.
Kaushik put forth the strong demand to the Union Government to promote Vedic education, the ancient language of Vedas which is Sanskrit and establishment of such Gurukuls/Vidyapeethas in all the districts across the country. He expressed his concern over the gradual extinction of Sanskrit language in the country and stressed for its promotion. He said Government of India should provide special funds for these Gurukuls on the pattern of financial assistance being provided to the Madrassas where Muslim children are getting education and knowledge about the holy Quran.
National general secretary, RM Sharma, presented annual report and projected achievements of the organization. Rajasthan state unit president Nand Kishore Sharma, UP state head of VBKP Dr Triloki Nath Pandey, J&K state head, Daya Ram Sharma , vice president Advocate Surinder Sharma, Himachal state head, Rajeshwari Gautam and heads of various other states and other office bearers also spoke on the occasion.
On this occasion, Great Freedom Fighter, Jai Mangal Pandey from Chhattisgarh, Atma Ram (great writer from Rajasthan), Sant Bhikh Chand Ji Maharaaj from Rajasthan, noted Advocate Sachidanand Ji from Rajasthan and Pt Bhishambhar Dyal Tripathi, Ex-MP in 1st Lok Sabha from UP and Member Indian Constitution Committee with Dr BR Ambedkar, were felicitated with Vedic Rattan Award (posth).
Besides them several other members of Brahman community were honoured for their outstanding contribution from various fields. Advocate Suneel Sharma from Katra, national boxer and coach Vinod Acharya from Jodhpur, RN Tripathi, Dr Triloki Nath Pandey and Pooja Pandey from UP, Master of Ceremony Om Acharya Ji from Falna, Virender Shastri Ji from Ghagwal (Samba) and Gopal Sharma (Journalist from Jammu) were also felicitated on the occasion.
Two newly elected Councillors Veena Devi from Chenani and Khema Devi from Akhnoor, besides Panchayat members Pankaj Sharma from Makwal and Parvesh Kumari from Dadwara in Kathua were also honoured.
