KATHUA, May 13: Keeping in view the grim situation of the Kashmir, Panthers Party’s State president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has demanded immediate start of summer secretariat in Jammu so that grievances of the people of winter capital can be addressed.
He blamed the BJP-PDP Government for its failure to carry forward the functioning of summer secretariat in Jammu. Mankotia warned the Coalition Government that if summer capital would not be started, Panthers Party will launch an agitation for early start of summer secretariat.
Haq-insaaf yatra started for separate statehood for Jammu region led by Panthers Party president Balwant Singh Mankotia today reached Kathua district. Youth leader of Panthers Party, Robin Sharma alongwith hundreds of supporters welcomed the Haq-insaaf yatra at Kathua. On this occasion, Balwant Singh Mankotia nominated Ajay Singh as provincial vice president and Robin Sharma as district president of Kathua.
Mankotia said that people of Jammu region are demanding to abandon the annual Darbar Move exercise and added that Civil Secretariat should work continuously in Jammu. Speaker of the Legislative Assembly has endorsed the demand but unfortunately BJP after becoming coalition partner has failed to restore the functioning of summer capital in Jammu.
Panther’s Party youth leader Balbir Singh, Manoj Gupta, Satish Sharma, Ramsaran Dogra, Ashok Hans, Ravi Kumar, Kuldeep Singh and other also addressed the gathering.
