State Budget gives relief to industry: BBIA

JAMMU, Dec 17: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has said that Budget approved by State Administrative Council (SAC) under Governor has offered some relief to the Industry sector.
In a meeting of BBIA held today under the presidentship of Lalit Mahajan in presence of Suresh Mahajan, senior vice president, Ajay Langer general secretary, Vivek Singhal secretary and Viraaj Malhotra treasurer and others, the members discussed the Budget 2019-20 today.
The members present in the meeting lauded the Budget approved by SAC under the chairmanship of Governor Satya Pal Malik, in which relief was provided to the Industrial Sector of J&K by extending Power amnesty and continuation of present Fiscal Incentives to the Industrial Sector of J&K and allocation of Rs 400 crore for Industry.
” We convey our gratitude to the Governor SP Malik, Advisor KK Sharma, Naveen Kumar Choudhary Principal Secretary Finance Department & Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department for providing relief to Industrial Sector in the Budget with the continuation of all the existing Fiscal Incentives which will provide a great relief to the existing Industry and with the allocation of Rs 400 crores proposed to be spent for augmentation of infrastructure including waste disposal in existing and upcoming industrial estates which will provide relief to the existing units and also open the doors for the new investments in Industrial sector in our State with the aim to augment “Ease of doing Business in various departments related to the Industrial Sector which will also help to improve the current raking of our State in National level in respect of Ease of Doing Business concept adopted by all the States,” they added,
” We further appeal to the Governor and the Advisor to resolve the other pending issues of working MSME units mostly run by the sons of the soil as requested during the pre-budget meeting held at Jammu which includes removal of items from the negative list for Industrial sector for the grant of State Fiscal Incentives, one time opportunity to file GST refund claims against SRO No. 519/521 & 63, Extension of State Fiscal Incentives to new units and Units under substantial expansion to create employment opportunities for local unemployed youth of the State,” the BBIA members said.
