JAMMU, July 16: J&K ITI Employees United Front, representing State Government employees of Technical Education organized its 5th State Conference, here today at Govt ITI Jammu, to discuss and debate the achievements of the organization for the previous tenure and fixing of new targets for the future.
On this occasion, the national president of the National Federation of Govt ITI Employees Associations, Davinder Singh was the chief guest whereas Vinod Shekhawat, national general secretary of the Federation (NFGITIEA) was the guest of honour.
During the discussion and debate, several resolutions were adopted on the burning demands of the State Govt employees of Technical Education to settle all the genuine issues without further delay.
While addressing the delegate session in the conference, Davinder Singh assured that the National Federation will take up all the important trade union issues including framing of regularization policy for all the Adhoc, contractual, consolidated, academic employees with the higher authorities for immediate settlement. Vinod Shekhawat also assured the delegates that all the general problems will be take up with the J&K State Govt for solution of the same.
Nazir Ahmed Molvi, State president and national secretary of the National Federation of Govt ITI Employees Associations, condemned the delaying policy of the State Govt regarding the conduct of DPC meetings of Gazetted & Non-Gazetted cadre. He urged the State Director and Secretary of the Technical Education Department to settle the demands, which include implementation of the recommendation of the DGT, Union Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, relating to Pay Scale/Grade Pay of Rs 4600 to the Instructors working under the Directorate of Technical Education, J&K, finalization of recruitment rules of Gazetted and non Gazetted posts of all categories, filling up the promotional categories vacancies of Deputy Director, Assistant Director/ Assistant Apprenticeship Advisor, Principal, Superintendent, Supervisor/Group Instructor/Foreman/ Surveyor/ Technical Assistant, Vocational Instructor, Section Officer, Head Assistant, Sr Assistant and Junior Assistant, change in nomenclature of the posts of Vocational Instructor and Group Instructor, discontinuation of direct recruitment to the posts of Superintendent and Supervisor, convening of meetings of DPCs on quarterly basis, regularization of services of the employees working on Adhoc, Contractual, Academic and Consolidated basis, etc.
Other prominent union leaders, who addressed the conference, included Karan Singh (General Secretary), Naresh Sharma (Vice-President), Kuldeep Singh (Advisor), Bhushan Khajuria (Advsior) and Naresh Jamwal (Advisor).
