JAMMU, Apr 5: To facilitate the laying of optical fibre for telecom connectivity and resolving any bottlenecks, the State Government has constituted a State Nodal Team, headed by Commissioner Secretary, Forest Environment and Ecology Department as its Chairman.
Commissioner/Secretary of PDD and PWD (R&B), Secretary Information Technology Department and Divisional Commissioner of the concerned Division shall be members of the State Nodal Team.
Meanwhile, according to a separate order, the State Government has also constituted a State Level monitoring team to ensure timely identification of three developed institutions in all the 4500 Gram Panchayats, which shall be provided broadband connectivity.
The team, headed by Secretary Rural Development Department as the Nodal Officer and comprising Divisional Commissioners of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, shall complete its task by April 10. The Nodal point at the State Level for this task will be Managing Director IT Infra Corporation.
