JAMMU: Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports Minister Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari today said the State Government has setup the State Skill Development Mission and modalities for registering skill development societies are being worked out.
He informed the House that the State Skill Development Mission is being headed by the Chief Minister.
Replying to a question by Rani Gargi Blowria in the Upper House, the Minister said no funds have been allocated to the State during the previous two years under National Skill Development Mission (NSDM), but the department, separately, has trained 100 youths in different trades and 510 youths are being trained at various ITIs in convergence with other departments/organizations that are not covered by the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY).
