State witnessing new era of developmental activities: Kavinder

JAMMU, July 7: Speaker State Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta undertook a whirlwind tour of Gandhi Nagar constituency today.
During his tour, he inaugurated and inspected various developmental works.
He was accompanied by SDM, South, Sonu Pargal; BDO, Satwari, A K Khajuria, Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), Mohammad Abdullah, Executive Engineer, UEED, Rajan Sharma; AEE, PWD (R&B) & UEED along with prominent citizens of the area.
The Speaker inaugurated works sanctioned out of his Constituency Development Fund which include lane & drain at Bhor Camp, Bathindi and Sunjwan. He inspected the work for macadamization of military hospital road which was started earlier this week at an estimated cost of around Rs 60 lakh.
He also visited the site for the proposed extension of nallah alongside the airport at Satwari; which will cover the Karan Bagh, Govindpura – Kullian up to Balole Nallah undertaken by the Economic and Reconstructing Agency (ERA).
While undertaking the tour of the area, various deputations met the speaker and expressed their gratitude for fulfilling these long pending demands and projected few more demands pertaining to development; which include the construction of Chatha road up to SKAUST, up gradation of stadium at Bhor Camp, completion of foot bridge.
Replying to the demands put forth by the locals, he said these works have already been discussed and got approved by him and the works on the mentioned demands will be started soon.
While addressing the people, he said that with the installation of BJP Government at the Centre and the State, the time has started to change and a very rapid and sustainable developmental activities have been witnessed by one and all in every sphere of his/her life and the State in particular is witnessing a new era of development all together.
Assuring the people, he said that the Government is committed to protect the rights and liberties of the people of the State and the projects being shelved by the previous NC-Congress Government are taken up on priority and will be completed in a time bound and transparent manner.
