Statehood, protection of jobs for locals DAP’s priority: Manohar

BILLAWAR, Nov 10: Former minister and senior Damocratic Azad Party (DAP) leader, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today said that restoration of Statehood to J&K, protection of jobs for the local educated unemployed youth and lands of the J&K farmers, is the top priority of the DAP.
He called upon the youth to join DAP, saying that the party’s ideology is dedicated to uphold the constitutional and democratic values of the country. He said the DAP led by former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is seriously concerned about the increasing unemployment in J&K and the future of the educated boys and girls. The party has clear road map for the unemployed youth and daily wagers and consolidated workers of J&K who are struggling for their uncertain future.
Addressing a public meeting at Panchayat Pallan, Dr Manohar said that his party will provide a vibrant platform to youths to play their designated role in J&K polity and help in shaping its politico-economic destiny. He said time has come to unite and defeat communal forces which are befooling the poor with false slogans.
Sharma stressed that DAP is “not just a party” but also an idea connected to the development of J&K. The goal of DAP is to ensure unity, social harmony and equality. He called upon everyone, especially the youth, to contribute in saving J&K, the Constitution and democracy by becoming a member of DAP.
While urging upon the party workers to reach out to the people for resolution of the issues confronting them, Manohar said DAP is duty bound to seek resolution of the issues confronting people. He said DAP is committed to address the aspirations of the people and will take care of the urges and aspirations of the people. He urged upon the party workers reach out to the people with the programmes and policies of the DAP. He felt confident that people of J&K have realized that it Govt has failed to serve them as per their commitment and looking forward towards Azad Sahib as an all-weather friend of the people and who has strived hard for the overall development of J&K and its people. He said massive development was witnessed in J&K during Chief Minisrership of Azad.
Sham Spolia, Sarpanch Mukesh, Shiv Dev Singh, Ram Lal Bhatti (Retd Principal), Vipul Sharma, Ch Mahmood, Prem Singh Padwal , Hans Raj and others were also present.
