RAJOURI, May 1: The police claimed to have solved bike theft case with the recovery of motorcycle and arrest of the bike lifter in Rajouri area today.
Reports said on April 30, one Shoib Iqbal, son of Javaid Iqbal, a resident of Mendhar in district Poonch lodged a written complaint at Police Station Rajouri, stating that his bike Yamaha R15 has been stolen from Badhoon area of Rajouri bearing registration number JK21E-7323.
In this regards a case FIR No. 199/2023, U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Rajouri.
During investigation, a team headed by SHO Police Station Rajouri Insp Mohd Showket assisted by PSI Rajat Jasrotia rounded up several suspects and one of them namely Mehfooz Khan, son of Razaq Khan , resident of Kapa Kha village in district Rajouri was arrested.
During his interrogation he admitted commission of crime along with two Juvenile (name with held).On their disclosure stolen bike valued 1,75 000 was recovered.
In another FIR No. 198/2023, U/s 307/323/380 IPC, 3/25/30 Arms Act an accused namely Waqar Ahmed, son of Nazir Hussian, resident of Badhoon, in Rajouri was arrested.
