Stolen mini bus recovered

JAMMU, Oct 17: With the arrest of one individual, police in Greater Kailash locality here claimed to have solved a theft case.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged at Greater Kailash Police Post by one Surjeet Singh son of Raghuvir Singh of Rajan Bar Kunjwani Bye Pass, stating therein that some unknown people have stolen his minibus.
On receiving the complaint, he said, a case FIR number 107/2023 under section 379 of the IPC was registered at Police Post Greater Kailash and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, he further said that special teams of Police Post Greater Kailash led by SDPO South, Sachit Sharma, assisted by SHO Gangyal, Inspector Ajay Singh, and incharge Police Post Greater Kailash, PSI Puneet Sharma, recovered the stolen vehicle with the help of human and technical intelligence.
One person detained by the police, Mukesh Singh of Kathua, confessed to his involvement in the theft case during sustained questioning, he said, adding that on his disclosure, the stolen minibus was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is underway, he added.
