Stolen property recovered, 3 held

RAMBAN, Oct 9: Police here today solved a theft case and recovered the stolen items besides arresting three burglars involved in the crime.
As per police on October 5, 2023 one Ishfaq Ahmed Malik, son of Mukthar Ahmed Malik, resident of Bonagund, Verinag, Anantnag, who was an employee of CPPPL, Seri Ramban complained at Police Station Ramban, that during the night intervening 28/29, September, 2023, some unknown persons stole eight iron channels and 14 rock bolt from the company site near Tunnel T2 NH44 Ramban.
On receipt of the information, a case in FIR No. 306/2023, U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started and cops rounded up several suspects and after developing specific leads three more suspects Ashok Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar, resident of Marog, Ramban; Parkash Kumar, son of Shokeeni, resident of Gandhote, Ramban and Mohd. Imtyaz, son of Abdul Majid, resident of Bhagna, Ramban were rounded up.
After sustained questioning, the suspected persons confessed their involvement in the crime, which led to recovery of the stolen material.
The recovery was made by a Police Party of Police Station Ramban led by PSI Ganesh Dutt under the guidance of Inspector Nayeem-Ul-Haq, SHO Ramban, under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Ramban, Om Parkash, Addl. SP Ramban, Gourav Mahajan and under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
