RAMBAN, May 15: A vehicle stolen from Shopian district was recovered today by Ramban Police from Barala area falling under its jurisdiction.
According to a police spokesperson, during the intervening night, a message was received from PCR Ramban that one vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-0461 has been stolen from district Shopian regarding which an FIR was registered at Police Station Heerpora.
He said after receiving the information, joint teams of Police Post Sangaldan and Police Post Ind swung in action and after hectic efforts, recovered the vehicle from Barala, following which district police Shopian was contacted and after completing all legal formalities, the vehicle was handed over to concerned Investigating Officer.
